Hello!

To keep it as short as possible I'll just give you the mail-exchange I recently had \
with the Foxytunes-guys:

My request:
> First my configuration: I use Foxytunes 1.1.5.4. on the Mozilla Firefox version \
> 1.5, using Linux Suse 10.0 (KDE). The player I control with Foxytunes is amarok \
> 10.10. I do enjoy using Foxytunes when writing emails or while chatting (whenever I \
> visit sites that do not feature any sound), yet there is a problem whenever I try \
> to play (for example) a videoclip while or after I used Foxytunes, since the sound \
> of that certain clip then is muted and can't be switched on no matter what. This \
> does not occur BEFORE I use Foxytunes, and it does not help to simply stop \
> Foxytunes playing a track from amarok. The format of the sound does not matter, \
> everything but FT is entirely muted. FT itself on the other hand does always work. \
> To view and listen to any site I have to close and restart Firefox. It might be \
> worth mentioning that using FT does not affect the sound of my second browser (KDE \
> Konqbrowser/Konqueror) or any other media-device outside of Mozilla (Kaffeine, \
> Mediaplayer10 etc.). Since I guess that this dominant behavior of Foxytunes was not \
> intented, I would be grateful for any help in that problem. Thank you very much and \
> greetings from Berlin/Germany.

The answer of Foxytunes (which I got today):

Hi Carsten,

This problem is caused by the Amarok player and not by FoxyTunes.
It seems that Amarok is opening the sound device in an exclusive way
that prevents the flash video players from playing any sound.

Regards,
Nimrod

Kay, so how can I set amarok so it won't cause this problem anymore?

Thank you.
