Summary: prevent reloading thumbnails while renaming images
           Product: digikam
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: heiner heiner-lamprecht net

Version: 0.9.0-svn / 2006-04-22 (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

When I rename all (or a large number of) images in an album, digikam starts \
recreating the thumbnails while renaming is still in progress. As a result, the \
displayed list of images gets permanently reorganized.

It would be better to wait until the renaming is completed and ccheck the thumbnails \
afterwards.

BTW: The best would be to rename the thumbnails directly, so that they don't have to \
be recreated at all.
