I think that Kile UI could see dramatic imrovements without loosing any \
power :

First : the tabs of the sidebar should always have the same size and not \
just an icon but also a text. Second : empty the toolbars. There far too \
much icons and not enough text. 

For this, I suggest to have much of the content of the toolbar to go in the \
                sidebar, and to have only 4 tabs : 
* Structure
* Symbols
* Compile
* Files & Project

Tab structure : business as usual
Tab Files & Projet : idem

== Tab Symbols == 
The aim of this tab is to merge all kind of latex symbols in the toolbar \
and in the sidebars

This first part is inpired by how K3B lets you choose between an audioCD, a \
data CD, ...

When I click on Greek letter, the tab will be remplaced by the actual tab \
with the greek letters that we have now. Just add a backlink to the main \
'Symbols' tab like in the following proposal for amarok : \

The second half of this sidebar tab will have the icons of the toolbar \
which have something to do with inserting some latex symbols that is :  << \

I hope you get the idea, and hope it can contribute to make KILE a KILlEr \
appliation.
