------- Additional Comments From anders alweb dk 2005-12-31 15:39 -------
I can't recognize this.
If I modify a file open in kate with another app, i get a dialog offering the options \
to overwrite, reload, ignore or cancel. I can also view the difference between the \
editor document and disk file.

(suprise, i wrote that dialog)

If I select 'overwrite' that works
If I select 'reload' that works, if the file is modified in the editor I'm asked if i \
want to save which may be a bit silly but hey, you can understand it (I hope). If I \
select 'Ignore' that works If I select 'Cancel' that works (although a bit annoying \
because the notification is respawned whenever the document becomes current but that \
is kinda the idea) If i select 'view diff' kompare (my default app for diff data) \
shows the diff. After closing kompare the dialog is still there, go to top. (My only \
grief is that kompare refuses to let me merge the differences, as it doesn't detect \
the source file correctly.)

No crashing.

Now if you want to be taken seriously, you must provide more information, for example \
a backtrace...
