Could it be that the file is so invalid that it makes KBabel crash?

(It is really too bad that the catalog manager does not offer a "Open with Kate" \
wish/bug #111625, as this is probably a case where the KBabel editor should not be \
called (but the KBabel editor should not crash either.))
