Summary: Incorrect behaviour when opening files (folders)
           Product: kate
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: kwrite
        AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
ReportedBy: hfcc mega ist utl pt

Version: 4.4 (using KDE KDE 3.4.3)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

How to get the incorrect behaviour:

1. Select "Open file" in Kwrite;
2. Start writing the name of a folder you which to enter. When a list with completion \
suggestions appear, select the folder from the dropdown list (using the keyboard) and \
press Enter; 3. A dialog appears saying "Please select the file to open"!!

But that's exactly what I was trying to do, to select a file to open. I don't \
understand why this dialog appears when I enter a folder by writing a folder name in \
the "Location". It should simply enter the folder and keep wayting for me to enter a \
file name. Don't you agree?

Albeit, if I select the folder from the dropdown list with the mouse, or if I write \
the entire folders name (instead of selecting from the dropdown list), the behaviour \
is the correct one. _______________________________________________
