Hi Richard,

I have to disagree ... this is not a grave bug, the program does not 
crash because of the file extension.

The "badness" of the file extension depends on how easily a person is 
offended. Some are not offended at all, some are mildly or seriously 
offended and there might even be those who like the idea of having a 
good reason to ask "Did you send me those k** files?"
