You inneed have a problem.

libkopete uses KIconEffect to gray out the offline icon.
the msn_offline icon is obsolete, and should probably be removed.

You seems to have a problem with your KIconEffect which is in kdelibs.

Are offline contact of your contactlist also shown "online" ?
