In documents, the page marking very often does not correspond to the actual number of \
the page. Some pages have no mark, some have roman numerals for the front matter and \
arabic numerals for the rest.  Showing these page marks next to the page numbering, \
e.g., "ii" 3/4 would be useful for navigating the document.  The last version of \
Acrobat Reader already does this (also, quite some time already, for PostScript \
files, GSView for Windows).  See, e.g., \
