Version:           2.6 (using KDE 3.4.2, Gentoo)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.5-20050130 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.5.20050130-r1, \
                ssp-3.3.5.20050130-1, pie-8.7.7.1)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-gentoo-r9

with volume set at 100%, performing the following
1) Right click kmix in system tray
2) Toggle Mute so that X appears

Result: Volume still at 100%, mute shows as ON, but icon still shows speaker and no \
mute is in effect.

After sliding volume down to 0, mute appears. THEN
1) Right click kmix in system tray
2) Toggle Mute so that X disappears

Result: Volume still muted at 100%.

Only by using volume slider can mute/unmute work.

Happens every time. Mute/Unmute should work from context menu.
