           Summary: Addressbook looses all data!!
           Product: kaddressbook
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: tokoe kde org
        ReportedBy: michael.reiher gmx de

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources

It just happend the second time to me within the last few weeks. All my addressbook \
data got lost! The size of std.vcf is 0. And as I apparently didn't look into it for \
several days, also all backup copies have meanwhile been overwritten with that empty \
file! Unfortunately I can't give more details on that, as I have no idea when it \
happens. However, whatever the actual bug might be, IMHO the real problem is, that \
the addressbook should obviously be way more conservative with its backup data, so \
that I have at least a chance to recover something. Couldn't it only overwrite the \
backup data if actually something changed? Like saving temporarily, then comparing \
hash values and only if different overwrite. Or at least only if I actually used the \
addressbook?
