------- Additional Comments From kde-bugs.der.graph spamgourmet com 2005-07-31 18:51 \
------- This is not really a bug, but a misconception(?) of the DB. The information \
about all the tracks in the collection is stored relative to the file. As a result, \
amaroK deletes a track from the DB and adds a new one if you just change a character \
in the filename.

A possible sollution would be to store the scores in a new DB table indexed by \
artist, album, track# and title. But then you'd have the same problem if you change \
the tags (unless all tag changes are done with amaroK, and amaroK updates the DB on \
all changes).

I'm not too sure, but it seems like the scores and play counters are also reset if \
the file is tagged with another application, or if the file timestamp is altered. \
That would be very ennerving. But I'm not sure there.
