Summary: Creating a NEW property for a file causes all UNKNOWN
                    file types to inherit property
           Product: konqueror
           Version: 3.4.1
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konq-bugs kde org
        ReportedBy: pete4abw comcast net

Version: 3.4.1 (using KDE 3.4.1, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5-20050130 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.5.20050130-r1, \
                ssp-3.3.5.20050130-1, pie-8.7.7.1)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11.11

When assigning a file type for a file which does not exist, the proper associations \
for the file type are created. However, afterwards, all files that are UNKNOWN -- \
that is don't have a service type -- are now associated with the last created file \
type. Example.

file type SHN for Shorted Media Format is associated with *.shn and *.SHN. Now, file \
type dat (which I have no association for) shows as Shorten Media Format even though \
it should be unknown. No files show as unknown anymore.
