Kopete automatically tries to reverse the connection attempt if it can't connect from \
the sender to the receiver (or vice versa). Adium might not do this, so the stream \
can't be negotiated. This really is a problem with Adium and/or your network \
settings.

If Adium supports proxies, you can also use one of the public proxy components.
