If you mean KWord's DocBook export filter (which is unmaintained), well, 
unfortunately it produces SGML DocBook not XML DocBook, so that xml2pot will 
not be able to handle it.

As for finding a way to convert a MS Word document to a .pot file, sorr I 
cannot see a way. 

(If you would know how to program in some script language, one way could be to 
save as RTF file and then to slipt at \par keywords, Generating the .pot 
files should be easy, the merging to get back a RTF document would surely not 
be that simple.)
