sure - go for it - bear in mind that this area is full of rather subtle stuff - all the different BIOSes behave differently in subtly different ways, it took a long time to get it to work as well as it does - adding this in to the existing code should be OK as an option - I think the main thing to avoid is reordering any of the existing code - Paul
