The behavior you describe the intended behavior for separate clipboard and selection \
--- you have to explicitly copy to clipboard (or select in the menu) to move a \
selection to the clipboard in this mode.

I cannot reproduce your testcase with synchronize on. Would you please try your own \
testcase with synchronize on one more time, please? Afterwards, please quit Klipper \
(just to be sure) and attach the contents of ~/.kde/share/config/klipperrc
