This is definetely related to the 'math background color' problem.

I found out that this problem (no bracket matching) only appears when the \
backgroundcolor of math environment is set. (I cannot reset it due to other bug I \
reportet)

In other environments (even those not recognised as math, eg. align), eg. all the \
rest bracket matching works.

With bracket matching I mean the feature, that kile shows which bracket (opening or \
closing) belongs the the one under the cursor.
