Summary: Add DCOP call for easy sending of notification messages
Product: kcontrol
Version: unspecified
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: kcmknotify
AssignedTo: pfeiffer kde org
ReportedBy: d.h.j.takken phys uu nl
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
OS: Linux
I would like to be able to show notification messages from scripts. I could not find any \
existing DCOP function that appears to be designed for easy commandline usage. Just something \
like:
dcop knotify Notify notify "SECURITY ALERT: Failed ROOT login attempt!"
would suffice.
