Ok, I understand it now. But for me it is still confusing behavior. The option is: "Automatic \
backup interval(min):..." It is absolutely not clear that selecting this option means that a \
file is saved automatically when you quit. So if you mess up things, you can not exit \
gracefully by quitting the application and answering 'no' in the dialog that asks you if you \
are sure that you want to quit without saving. Here you have to think about unchecking the \
"automatic backup interval" option first to get this possibility. This is definitely \
non-standard behavior. What I would suggest is the following :

1. Keep the option as it is now, but restrict it to what it is supposed to do, i.e. make a \
backup every x minutes, preferably with a new extension that clearly marks it as a backup. \
There should be an option in the file menu to revert to the last backup.

2. When saving a file, it would be nice if the former version would be kept with a tilde \
appended to the end of the file. This is more or less standard with a lot of KDE applications. \
This could be optional, but perhaps selected by default.

3. Add an option to force save on exit. This option would be selected by default and together \
with my suggestion under point 2. would ensure that you never lose data or mess up a file.
