Many thanks to those who worked on this. However, I am still having trouble with \
this bug. (Note: I'm *not* the original poster.)
In particular, the clock is fine when in plain mode, but it still grows too big when \
in the digital, analog, or fuzzy modes. Likewise, the pager grows bigger than I want \
when resizing the panel. Is there any technical reason why pager only allows 1, 2, \
and 3 columns?? Why not 8 or more?
And again, why can't I manually choose the panel's icon size? Control center -> \
Icons -> Advanced allows choosing icon sizes for the desktop, toolbar, etc., but the \
option for panels is grayed out. I would prefer having a smaller K Menu button at \
the top of my panel; but the icon size is inextricably linked to the panel width.
Also (and this may belong in another bug report), the panel keeps resizing each time \
I change its auto-hide status. For example, I select a custom panel size greater \
than 128 by enabling drag-and-drop resizing. It is hard to do this accurately when \
the panel auto-hides too fast, so I disable auto-hiding. After dragging the panel to \
my desired size (about 20% of the screen width), I go back to the control center and \
re-enable automatic hiding. Voila! Kicker reverts to 128 pixels wide. Why does it \
have to do this? Even changing the K menu's button background has the same effect.
** Reply to Benjamin:
Multiple taskbars bother me. For one thing, the secondary taskbar tends to get lost. \
For another, its often nice to do multiple things without having to change between \
taskbars.
