I have a linuxbox at work (workbox) working now for more than 2 years. At home I \
recently bought a brand new machine (homebox) both installed with Debian SID \
(Unstable) and I discovered a strange behaviour.

On the workbox, I can hit ESC key and it closes the chat window. Strangely, on the \
homebox, this is not the case. I searched through all the settings and shortcuts and \
found nothing to help it.

A bit of investigation showed that my old installation (workbox) had different \
settings than my recent installation (homebox). On workbox, the general Kopete \
settings are stored in kopetechatwindow.rc whereas on homebox, these settings are \
stored in kopeteui.rc (both of them within ~/.kde/share/apps/kopete).

On my workbox (kopetechatwindow.rc) I have the following entries (I removed the signs \
LessThan and GreaterThan to avoid display problems): ActionProperties
 Action shortcut="Ctrl+Return" name="chat_send"
 Action shortcut="Ctrl+Down" name="history_down"
 Action shortcut="Ctrl+Up" name="history_up"
 Action shortcut="Tab" name="nick_compete"
 Action shortcut="Escape" name="tabs_close"
 Action shortcut="Ctrl+Shift+B" name="tabs_detach"
/ActionProperties
which explains why I could use ESC to close chat windows.

I tried to put these on the same section on homebox (kopeteui.rc) without result.

So, I simply copied the kopetechatwindow.rc on my homebox and now Kopete reacts  \
similarly on both boxes.

My questions are :
- Which one of these files is predominant over the other ?
- Which one is obsolete but still read and evaluated ? (I would say that kopeteui.rc \
                is supposed to be more recent as this is the only one created on \
                homebox)
- How come that these named shortcuts (tabs_close, tabs_detach, history_down, etc.) \
aren't reachable anymore from the shortcuts settings window ?
