Ah, I found the bug numbers again in the log of the revision 1.6 of the file \
koffice/tools/thumbnail/Makefile.am

The problems were described at least in the bug #59377 and bug #61885

If you want to try by yourself, the file \
koffice/tools/thumbnailotherofficethumbnail.desktop still exists in source, it is \
just not installed. You can install it where kofficethumbnail.desktop is installed.
