Well your solution fixed it.  It was just an incorrect error message that lead to \
confusion because people would install ispell but it said ispell wasn't installed.

If you want to improve the message further, though (and why not?), you could also \
tell them specifically which speller they have selected and what the problem is \
exactly, i.e. 'You have selected "ASpell" as your speller in the configuration dialog \
but the command "aspell" does not exist.  Make sure the "aspell" program is installed \
and in a directory which is in your PATH environment variable'.  But at least now the \
message is not untrue, which would make it not technically a bug anymore.

Maybe it could also do a check when the user selects a spelling program in the \
configuration dialog, and also have no spelling program selected by default, to avoid \
further confusion.
