Summary: Kexi Enhancement Request - Index of available tables
should always be present on left of screen
Product: kde
Version: unspecified
Platform: RedHat RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: bastian kde org
ReportedBy: david.lesage auroraenergy com au
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: GCC
OS: Linux
With Microsoft Access '97, to view the list of available tables, queries, macros and \
so on, the user must move back to a master window each time, which is awkward and \
tiem-consuming. This is because open tables overlap the master window and it is \
"buried" at the back of the screen.
It would be far superior if the index list of available tables, queries, etc, could \
be kept in a left hand side panel that is never coverred or overlapped by open \
tables. In this way, it would be similar to the common layout used by many websites, \
whereby the index of available hyperlinks is present on the left side of the page. \
As this navigation method works well of rhte web, it would probably work well for \
Kexi, too.
