I do get a crash handler when trying to get the properties in the
konqueror filemanager, but it tells me:

This backtrace appears to be of no use.
This is probably because your packages are built in a way which
prevents creation of proper backtraces, or the stack frame was
seriously corrupted in the crash.

Using host libthread_db library "/lib/libthread_db.so.1".
0x413dfb78 in waitpid () from /lib/libpthread.so.0
#0  0x413dfb78 in waitpid () from /lib/libpthread.so.0
#1  0x40937bc8 in __JCR_LIST__ () from /usr/kde/3.3/lib/libkdecore.so.4
#2  0x4083b79a in KCrash::defaultCrashHandler(int) ()
   from /usr/kde/3.3/lib/libkdecore.so.4

I suppose that means I should recompile something with debugging
enabled, but what?
