To reproduce:

Update to a recent version of KolourPaint (within last 2 days).  Draw something and \
then go to File / Save As.

Change the filter to Truevision Targa.  Enable the preview.  KolourPaint basically \
saves and reads back the image in the selected format to generate the preview.

It does not even resemble the image to be saved.
