This is a typical "large database" problem - try making a backup of your Pilot with \
pilot-xfer (see the FAQ on kpilot.org if you don't know how, something like \
pilot-xfer -p /dev/pilot -b /tmp/backupdir) and if that crashes on the same database \
as well, you've found (yet another) corrupt database (corrupt according to the \
original Palm specs). Add it to the skip-dataases list. (Which might require an \
upgrade to KPilot 4.4.3). This kind of database will be dealt with properly in the \
future pilot-link 0.12.0 release.
