This is a little bit hard to describe, but I have this troubles since a long time (different distros, different computers, different versions of kde). In other words: after I click on a file in an archive (in ark), everything is still O.K. After starting moving the mouse the confusion begins: it takes about one second, until it switches from file-selection to drag-and-drop mode (why is ark in multi-fileselection-mode - I am not pressing 'shift'?). after this, many files are highlighted, but only the ones I selected in the begining will be dropped. sometimes the mouse pointer even indicates drag-and-drop after I release the left mouse button. This behavior seems to be related with bug #66696 (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66696). I think that this is very confusing -- I would prefer if drag and drop in ark will be disabled until this gets fixed.
