Summary: java applets do not work in konqueror
           Product: konqueror
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konq-bugs kde org
        ReportedBy: remko deos tudelft nl

Version: 3.2.3 (using KDE 3.2.3, SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-215-default

Java applets no longer work in Konqueror. I run SuSE 9.0 with KDE 3.2.3 (RPMs \
provided by SuSE). Same with SuSE 9.1 with KDE 3.2.3 (RPMs provided by SuSE). \
Javascript works, but java applets are simply ignored. Try for example \
http://www.javatester.org/enabled.html In both cases I have SunJava JRE 1.4.2 \
standard released with SuSE 9.0 and 9.1.

This page works well in Mozilla on the same platforms.

And, yes:
- I have java enabled and provided the proper path
- Java is on in "Tools/HTML Settings"

In addition, I should mention that there are no error messages in .xsession-errors or \
any other log file related to this issue.
