Summary: [wish] Auto-renaming files in Juk: join directories,
edit target, fix window dimensions
Product: juk
Version: 2.0.1
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: wheeler kde org
ReportedBy: ivansanchez wanadoo es
Version: 2.0.1 (using KDE 3.2.2, (testing/unstable))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (Debian 20040401)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.24-1-k7
Juk's renamer is a wonderful thing, but lacks a couple of things IMHO:
- The ability to move (rename) all selected songs to the same directory. Think about \
a soundtrack, performed by several artists. You don't want it to be split into \
several directories, you want it to be all together. However, I don't know the \
user-friendly approach to this.
- The ability to edit the destination of the going-to-be-renamed files. The user may \
want to move some files apart, and could be an approach to the first \
issue.
- Window dimensions: right now (CVS20040505), the file list size is fixed and depends \
only on the number of files going to be renamed; select several and rename them, then \
maximize the dialog: it will look ugly. The list (vertical) size should fit the \
window.
