You could currently do this in various different ways using the latest version of \
KAlarm (available as a standalone package, or from KDE CVS). Not all of these methods \
will be available in the Mandrake version:
- In the recurrence tab, add exception dates for holidays. You can always edit the \
alarm to add more exception dates later on.
- Just before the holiday, edit the alarm and change its start date to after the \
holiday.
- Set up a template for the alarm. Delete the alarm when you don't want it, and then \
recreate it from the template when you want to resume.
- Delete the alarm when a holiday comes. To restore it, display expired alarms \
(assuming that they are configured to be kept in the Preferences dialog) and copy the \
old alarm - you just need to change the start date.
But I like your idea of being able to disable the alarm in the main window, and will \
add this facility.
