Summary: ksplash progress messages don't fit in splash window
           Product: ksplash
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: ravi kde org
        ReportedBy: gjditchfield acm org

Version: (using KDE 3.2.2, SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-215-default

ksplash doesn't take font sizes and screen resolution into account. The progress \
message "Setting up interprocess communication" is a bit too long to fit in the text \
area at the bottom of the Default and Blue-bend splash screens. If you look at the \
sample images in the Splash Screen configuration module, you can see that the final \
"n" is cut off.

On my computer, with KDE configured to use 10 point fonts on a 125 dpi screen, the \
Ksplash window is relatively narrower, and that message gets cut off after \
"communic".

I'd be happy if you took out the progress bar to the right of the text message -- the \
icons above it make it redundant.
