Summary: KDE freezes when playing a specifig MP3 file with JuK or
                    Noatun via alsa
           Product: arts
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: stefan space twc de
        ReportedBy: mynews buschaos de

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc-Version 3.3.2 20031218 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r5, \
                propolice-3.3-7) CFLAGS="-march=pentium4 -O3 -pipe -mfpmath=sse \
                -msse2 -mmmx"
OS: Linux

When I'm playing a specific mp3 file with JuK or Noatun, the KDE desktop freezes and \
makes the whole system unusable (even Strg-Alt-F1 or Strg-Alt-Backspace doesn't work \
anymore). The same file is playing without any problems with current mplayer or XMMS, \
and other mp3's and ogg files work flawlessly.

When I tried to play the file with Noatun, the last message which appeared on the \
                console is:
artskde: KDE::PlayObject::play()

I'm using Kernel 2.4.22 with Gentoo patches (2.4.22-r7) together with Alsa 1.0.3.

Please give me a location where I can upload the mp3 file (I don't want to attach it \
here due to copyright issues).
