I agree. Especially if your keyring is large, clicking on a GPG signed message \
sometimes hangs Kmail entirely for about a minute (I have a P4 1.4GHz and my keyring \
contains all Debian developers).

The nasty part is that you can't even write any new mail or cleanly close the program \
while the check is running. It apparently blocks the whole GUI thread: the user \
interface is not redrawn if you minimize and restore the window.

This still applies to Kmail 1.6.1.
