Summary: Find File dialog disappears if view for results is
                    changed
           Product: konqueror
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: konq-bugs kde org
ReportedBy: raimund cs auckland ac nz

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc 3.2
OS: Linux

Say you've got a open Konqueror window (in viw mode "Icon View") showing the contents \
of your $KDEDIR (for example). Under "Tools" there is a menu entry to find files in \
the current ($KDEDIR) directory. Now search for "*kicker*" (without the quotes). In \
the lower part of the window the results are displayed. Everything fine so far.

Now change the view to "detailed list view". The items you found just before \
disappear and the contents of $KDEDIR appears again - this time in detailed list \
view. That's quite unsatisfactory, because I have to redo the search only because I \
wasn't happy with the view mode.

But this is not all. Now I select Tools->Find File again. Nothing happens.

I select Tools->Find File a second time. Now the dialog appears again.

These bugs are as consistent as gravity (i.e. easy to reproduce).

Cheers,
Raimund
