there is a known problem with missing icons in 3.2 causing a segv that's been fixed \
in CVS (didn't make 3.2.1) - but I don't think that's what you are seeing - almost \
everything's working OK for you - the laptop daemon's running (it's in the panel) \
it's just not showing the icons. 

My guess is that there's something about where icons are stored on your machine is \
confusing the icon loader and it's seeing them in the control panel but looking \
somewhere else when it tries to load them from kded - you might try and use some \
icons from 'other' that are in well known place, perhaps an absolute path

Running klaptop_check more than once shouldn't have any real effect, in fact yo \
should never need to turn it on at all

That crash looks like it's coming out of the insides of the code that handles ACPI \
buttons - you might try disabling anything in the "Button Actions" tab.
