I believe this behavior should be extended to include all arts-related settings (audio manager, enviroment mixers - equalizers, etc.). I thought that this was what the "save ~/default.arts-env" button was for in the "environment" tab, but it appears to not work. It produces a file whose contents are not particularly meaningful. Hitting "load" crashes arts. If these are not related to this feature request, then I should file a different bug report altogether.
