I get a crash as well. I don't have to change anything, just edit a calander item by \
double-clicking on it and hit "Apply" or "Ok" and it crashes.

Version: 3.2
System: Gentoo, 1.4 with latest emerge
gcc: gcc (GCC) 3.3.2 20031218 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r5, propolice-3.3-7)

I don't actually run KDE, but use Windowmaker and just use some of the great KDE \
apps. Also, don't have a backtrace for you, sorry.
