Gentoo with 2.6.3 kernel here
Kde 3.2 alsa enabled sound card: intel on board.
Sound works but crappy...i get lots of warnings:
ALSA lib pcm_hw.c:1055:(snd_pcm_hw_open) open /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p failed: Device or resource busy
There are already artsd objects registered, looking if they are active...
Error: Can't add object reference (probably artsd is already running).
If you are sure it is not already running, remove the relevant files:
/tmp/mcop-pestilence/Arts_SoundServerV2
/tmp/mcop-pestilence/Arts_SoundServer
/tmp/mcop-pestilence/Arts_SimpleSoundServer
/tmp/mcop-pestilence/Arts_PlayObjectFactory
/tmp/mcop-pestilence/Arts_AudioManager
kmixctrl: ERROR: Alsa mixer cannot be found.
Please check that the soundcard is installed and the
soundcard driver is loaded.
kmixctrl:
I guess this has something to do with other instances trying to bind to arts and play soundiles?
