------- Additional Comments From thore parkstraat cistron nl 2004-02-24 13:54 \
------- Oke, it's been a while, still some problems, but also some new info.

On my test box, running KDE 3.2 CVS, the problem is still there. It shows the text \
instead of the rendered html. But when I keep hitting the refresh button, after some \
time the page appears correctly. So I think speed is involved in this problem. Maybe \
Waldo could not see the problem because he came in over the internet, through the \
firewall, over some hubs and switches. Which could have slowed down the connection \
enough to make it work. But I don't know, I'm not the specialist here.

Recently I updated to the latest firmware version. This version solved the problem \
with the text output in stead of the html. I can now see the page on all systems \
(Debian stable / unstable and Windows).

It all sounds good, but the new firmware heavily relays on java. It took me Suns most \
recent java 1.42_3 just to get the basics to work. But still it complains: "Your \
browser doesn't have java support". Oddly enough most of it works, but some stuff \
like the Job History just hangs. I also tried version 1.5.0 beta 1 from Sun java, \
this gives no errors but also doesn't load, so that's no help either.

As far as I can tell, the only remaining problem now is java related. So what should \
I do now? Should this bug stay open or be closed? Should the component be reassigned?
