In KWord I much rather have but-ugly scaling pictures that are on screen in no-time \
then a nice looking slow image. In KPresenter (for example) this assumption is \
totally wrong. Which application do you have problems with?

Your suggestion to save a scaled image is not very nice since scaling an image down \
and then up means you lost a lot of information.  I'd rather have it be a bit slow as \
it loosing quality for ever.
