I found a way how to reproduce the problem. First I open the file browser in
my home dir. There are 17 directories and 2 files (1 pdf and 1 zip). Now I
copy by shell (not in the file browser) another pdf file in the directory.

Now the number of elements changes to 20 but suddenly it wents down. It says
2 files, 1 file, 0 files, 4-a-lot-of-files.

This seems only to happen if the file browser tries to create a preview of
the file. In case of a textfile this doesn't seem to be a problem, but maybe
my maschine isn't fast enough to scan the pdf or something else. Maybe test
with a huge pdf.
