there are lots of reasons why the laptop daemon doesn't run (it goes out of it's way \
to try to not run unless it's needed) - most likely it has something to do with your \
ACPI environment - could you please do a couple of things for me:

	- in /proc/acpi do a 'find' and record the contents

	- then make a tar of the contents of /proc/acpi

and then attach both of these to this bug. I can then use them to make my system look \
like yours for debug
