This may be an unrelated bug, but so far, I've been testing this without actually \
dragging any files, as I mention in my original test case. There also seems to be a \
bug dragging files with the same procedure. If I drag a file to the desktop using the \
left mouse button and, rather than release the file, I press and release the right \
mouse button, the entire desktop stops accepting mouse input. The pointer still \
moves, but clicking does nothing. Pressing any key on the keyboard restores the mouse \
to working order. Note that for this procedure to work, you must press and release \
the right mouse button while still holding the left button and while over the \
desktop. If you release the left button before the right button or use anything \
besides the desktop, it won't freeze.
