(i configured sending to require authentication...) then try to send a mail to somebody. it silently fails. the only thing that happens is that in the kmail statusbar it says: Sending (some) mail failed. or something like that. then i added a name and an email address in the identities setting dialog, and after that sending of a mail worked. so i would like it, if kmail wouldn't silently fail in this case, but pop up an error dialog box saying something like this: "I could not send this mail, because you have not yet set your name and your email address in the settings dialog under identities. Please do so and then send this mail again." thx, Holger
