Are there plans to fix this bug before 3.2?

This is my most hated bug in current CVS. It plagues me every day. If I could I would \
give it 1000 votes.

I am marking it grave because this bug *does* result in loss of data; because the \
file modified indicator just goes off all the time, you never know if it is real or \
not, and you pretty much just have to click Ok to overwrite, which occasionally \
overwrites things you didn't mean to.
