i have the same problem
kmail is from the 3.2 beta1
happens with several servers running courier imap + vpopmail in various versions
after checking for mail folder pane will indicate unread messages in the inbox, but \
on accessing the inbox no new messages will show up. Then after some time they will \
suddenly appear.

The inboxes have mails in them

should i do an ethereal log?
