hmm, that's the second time a similar problem is reported - but the last time it \
simply went away. :} please put some debug into kprocctrl.cpp (maybe not kdDebug, it \
could be unhealthy in a signal handler ...) there are a few possiblities ... either \
the signal does not arrive, or it does not properly write into the notification pipe, \
or the select() does not poll the pipe correctly. dunno ...
