Summary: tar file should be created if new filename is entered
                    into location bar
           Product: kio
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: tar
        AssignedTo: faure@kde.org
        ReportedBy: shetzl@chello.at

Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

When I enter the name of a file that does not exists into the status bar with the \
tar:// prefix then I get the error message that this file does not exists. It would \
help me a lot if instead I could create a new .tar file (or .tar.gz or tar.bz2 - \
depending on the filename) this way. For example, instead of saying this file does \
not exists a message window could pop up: "Do you want to create a new archive ?" and \
if answered with yes a new archive is created.

Greetings,
Stefan
